Whitworth then ripped Staley for his “embarrasing” tweet. Right here is his full Instagram publish:

My guys who’ve performed the [NFL] sport. Been within the trenches. May you think about making an attempt to troll one other participant’s spouse? If you [are] not even a participant anymore? Having 49ers followers troll her all week. Sending her nasty crap. [Used] to respect this man. This ain’t it! May you think about being an elite participant to solely grow to be a fan who [tries] to troll girls or important others of gamers? Life comes as at you quick! I am who I’m as a result of this is able to by no means be me. I respect the sport. The boys who come after me and earlier than me. Would by no means disrespect no matter my cheerleader emotions. My kids even know higher than this. However that is why I am me. And he is him! Embarrassing for our sport. 49ers followers can say something they need! Y’all can purchase all of the tickets you wish to the Tremendous Bowl! I might hope a legend of the sport would depart a [player’s] spouse out of it. Assault the lady robust man! I will handle that at a later date!

Staley, who performed for the 49ers from 2007-2019 and at present serves as an NFL analyst for NBC Sports activities Bay Space, did not handle Whitworth’s feedback on his social media channels. Whitworth later deleted the publish.

Melissa tried to bury the drama on Monday, tweeting that Staley and Whitworth are “cool now,” so it is time for everybody to “transfer on.”

It seems the O-line beef has been put within the rear-view mirror, which is a smart transfer on Whitworth’s half. He is acquired to give attention to his movie and playbook, not ticket gross sales, forward of the Rams’ Tremendous Bowl 56 matchup with the Bengals.
